Job Title: Tax Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Director to oversee and manage our tax department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, minimizing tax liabilities, and providing strategic tax planning advice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement tax strategies that minimize the company's tax liabilities
  • Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels
  • Oversee tax planning and preparation for individual, corporate, partnership, trust, estate and gift tax returns
  • Prepare and review tax provisions and disclosures for financial statements
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors
  • Identify tax-related risks and opportunities for the company
  • Lead tax research and analysis, identifying and proposing solutions to complex tax issues
  • Train and mentor tax department staff
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Active CPA license
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax accounting with a focus on corporate tax
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns for 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1040, and 1041
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Ability to think critically and solve complex problems
