Position Overview
As a Survey Crew Chief, you will play a pivotal role in our engineering projects, ensuring their success through effective leadership and technical expertise.

You will utilize cutting-edge technology, including GIS, GPS, and drones, to deliver accurate and reliable survey data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a survey crew in executing topographic, boundary, and construction staking surveys.
  • Operate and maintain a range of surveying instruments, including total stations, GPS devices, and drones.
  • Oversee field operations, ensuring data collection, stakeout, and quality control are performed to the highest standards.
  • Document field activities, record data accurately, and produce detailed sketches.
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to meet project goals effectively.
  • Mentor and train junior staff, promoting adherence to safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Analyze survey data, maps, and other relevant information to support project objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's quality management system and project quality procedures.
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of experience in a survey crew chief position or a similar role.
  • Proficient in modern surveying technologies, including GPS, GIS, and drones.
  • Strong understanding of surveying principles, techniques, and instruments.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and navigate challenging terrains.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interpret complex plans and blueprints effectively.
  • A degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
