Position Overview
As a Survey Crew Chief, you will play a pivotal role in our engineering projects, ensuring their success through effective leadership and technical expertise.
This position provides an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, technology-driven environment where you will oversee a team conducting various surveying tasks.
You will utilize cutting-edge technology, including GIS, GPS, and drones, to deliver accurate and reliable survey data.

Key Responsibilities- Lead a survey crew in executing topographic, boundary, and construction staking surveys.
- Operate and maintain a range of surveying instruments, including total stations, GPS devices, and drones.
- Oversee field operations, ensuring data collection, stakeout, and quality control are performed to the highest standards.
- Document field activities, record data accurately, and produce detailed sketches.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to meet project goals effectively.
- Mentor and train junior staff, promoting adherence to safety protocols and industry standards.
- Analyze survey data, maps, and other relevant information to support project objectives.
- Ensure compliance with the company's quality management system and project quality procedures.
- At least 3 years of experience in a survey crew chief position or a similar role.
- Proficient in modern surveying technologies, including GPS, GIS, and drones.
- Strong understanding of surveying principles, techniques, and instruments.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and navigate challenging terrains.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to interpret complex plans and blueprints effectively.
- A degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
- A valid driver's license is mandatory.
