Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at Petco. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to our patients and delivering a positive experience for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with routine and emergency appointments, surgery, and euthanasia procedures.
- Perform patient restraint, obtain and process laboratory samples, and handle medications as directed by veterinarians.
- Schedule appointments, communicate with clients, and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare patients for surgical and dental procedures, monitor patients during recovery, and ensure a smooth discharge process.
- Provide in-hospital treatments for sick patients, including administering medications and intravenous therapies.
Requirements:
- College or college-equivalent education as a Credentialed Veterinary Technician in the state where the hospital is located.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a veterinary practice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to maintain a professional attitude in emotional and stressful situations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and customer service.
