Job Summary

The YMCA of Kingston and Ulster County Inc is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aquatics Coordinator to lead the aquatic department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the aquatic program, including staff supervision, program development, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement aquatic programs that meet the needs of members and the community.
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure they are equipped to provide excellent service and maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Program Director to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Public Health standards and YMCA policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to member concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in supervision or 1 year of experience with increasing responsibilities.
  • Completion and maintenance of certification as Lifeguard and Swim Instructor.
  • Strong communication and human relation skills.
