Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a high standard of excellence within the team.
  • Assign duties to housekeeping personnel and ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • May be asked to prep rooms for housekeepers during busy periods and assist in the training of new staff members.
  • Inspect and prepare cleaned units and report them as vacant and ready for occupancy.
  • Examine carpets, drapes, and furniture for stains, damage, or wear and report as necessary.
  • Report unit maintenance issues and ensure that all necessary repairs are completed in a timely manner.
  • Assist in maintaining storage closets and ensure that all supplies are organized and easily accessible.
  • Report lost and found items to the Executive Housekeeper and ensure that all necessary procedures are followed.
  • Ensure a safe working environment at each site and office and report any hazards or concerns to the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Perform all duties related to site operation as directed by the Executive Housekeeper and ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Ensure a sense of urgency exists within the housekeeping team and that all units are turned over on time.
  • Personal timeliness is essential, and all assignments and appointments must be completed promptly.
  • Utilize supplies and equipment efficiently and effectively and perform inventory on linens and supplies as directed.
  • Assist in solving guest complaints promptly and cultivate and develop strong, positive customer relations.
  • Knowledgeable of the resort and willing and able to assist resort guests and owners.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • A passion for cleanliness and demonstrated motivational skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to train others.
  • Desire to help others and work irregular hours.
