JOB SUMMARY

The role involves manual inspection of completed plastic components and their packaging for shipment. Responsibilities include sealing boxes, printing labels, and stacking completed boxes on pallets. The position may also involve machine operation and training of junior inspectors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspection Process: Conduct frequent evaluations of the visual characteristics of each product, identifying issues such as discoloration, shorts, burns, contamination, splay, and delamination.
  • Data Recording: Document any relevant information regarding product quality or performance as required by management.
  • Packing Responsibilities: Transfer products from catch bins or boxes into shipping containers, transport them to the shipping area, weigh them accurately, and label containers correctly using SAP.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Ensure cleanliness in the production and packing areas, including sweeping floors and cleaning spills.
  • Machine Operation: Occasionally operate manually controlled molding presses, including removing molded products and performing secondary operations like trimming and stamping.
  • Training: May assist in training new Inspector/Packer I employees.
  • Sorting and Reworking: Identify and rectify products that do not meet customer specifications.
  • Documentation: Properly label and document non-conforming products, including sampling and gauging reject items.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster positive working relationships across all departments.
  • Training Compliance: Complete all assigned training programs.
  • Safety Compliance: Conduct all tasks safely and adhere to applicable safety and environmental regulations.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Average or better math skills.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Good color perception and manual dexterity.
  • Capability to lift up to 35 lbs safely.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
  • Ability to maintain an orderly and detail-oriented work approach.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in personal computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SAP, and email.
