Radiation Therapist

University of Minnesota Physicians is a non-profit organization seeking skilled professionals to join our team in delivering high-quality patient care.

Job Summary

The Radiation Therapist is responsible for administering ionizing radiation therapy treatments as determined by the Radiation Oncologist. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts
  • Use radiation therapy equipment according to established practices and standards
  • Prepare and construct equipment such as immobilization devices as needed or prescribed by the physician
  • Prepare and keep stock of the treatment rooms
  • Perform administrative duties including scheduling
Requirements
  • ARRT registration in radiation therapy or be board eligible by completing the appropriate school of radiation therapy and completing registration within three months of hire
  • BLS certification
  • Excellent patient relations skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
