At the University of Minnesota, we are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering ionizing radiation therapy treatments to patients with cancer and other disorders.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using advanced radiation therapy equipment.
- Prepare and construct equipment such as immobilization devices as needed or prescribed by the physician.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment rooms to ensure a safe and efficient treatment environment.
- Under the direction of the manager, may assume additional therapist responsibilities, including administrative duties such as scheduling.
- ARRT registration in radiation therapy or be board eligible by completing the appropriate school of radiation therapy and completing registration within three months of hire.
- BLS certification.
- Excellent patient relations skills and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
