Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Neurologic Care Specialist to join our team at the Dent Neurologic Institute. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to individuals with a range of neurologic conditions.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. You will be based in Amherst and will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

As a Neurologic Care Specialist, you will be responsible for:
  • Providing expert care to patients with neurologic conditions
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with our multidisciplinary team
  • Conducting thorough examinations and diagnostics to inform treatment decisions
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest medical research and guidelines to ensure the highest standard of care
  • Working closely with our support staff to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • An active New York State license as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • Experience in a neurologic setting, with a strong desire to develop expertise in a subspecialty
  • A solid understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics
  • Broad knowledge of common and specialty medications, side effects, and contraindications
  • In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medical standard methodologies
  • Respect for patient confidentiality

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary, with most candidates starting within the first quartile of the range. New graduates typically start at $95-100K base salary. Advanced Practice Providers may receive semi-annual bonuses (if eligible).
