Certified Nursing Assistant - Cardiac Telemetry
Employment Type: Part Time
Shift: Night Shift
Compensation: $2,500 Hiring Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment, in addition to a comprehensive benefits and compensation package.
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a crucial role in supporting patient care and departmental activities under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN).

- Collaborates with the RN to deliver care and services to patients and their families, following directives for task delegation and adhering to emergency protocols.
- Assists in the transportation of patients as required.
- Diligently communicates and documents all daily activities and care provided, ensuring timely reporting of any unusual or complex patient conditions.
- Provides patient care as directed by the RN, which may include tasks such as bed making, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitoring vital signs, and supporting patients with mobility and feeding.
- Conducts regular patient rounds as delegated by the RN.
- Responds promptly to unit telephones and patient call systems.
- Acts swiftly to unit and patient alarms, ensuring patient safety.
- Works alongside the nursing team to prioritize and organize functions essential for patient admission and care delivery.
- Responsible for maintaining supply levels and restocking as necessary, while collaborating with management to optimize unit routines.
- Ensures the cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and equipment.
- Maintains quality control logs for various medical supplies and equipment.
- Assists with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring proper documentation of patient belongings.
- Participates in emergency situations as directed.
- Engages in educational activities and quality improvement programs as appropriate.
- Competently performs assigned technical skills related to patient care.
- May assume the role of Patient Safety Attendant (PSA) as needed, focusing on patient safety and effective communication with the nursing team.
- Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned to enhance care delivery and unit functionality.
Qualifications Required:
- Current Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six months of acute care experience.
- One year of skilled nursing experience.
- Experience in customer service within healthcare may substitute for acute or skilled experience, along with completion of an acute care NAC course.
- Students currently enrolled in a registered nursing program may also qualify.
