Job Title: Electronic Healthcare Records (EHR) Support Specialist

Western Sierra Medical Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and motivated EHR Support Specialist to join our team. As an EHR Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing daily support to eCW application users, troubleshooting application issues, and optimizing the use of the system through implementation of new eCW features and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily support to eCW application users through troubleshooting, coaching, and consulting.
  • Identify and troubleshoot application issues as they occur, owning the problem and seeing it through to full resolution.
  • Work with advisory workgroups to optimize use of the system through implementation of new eCW features and upgrades.
  • Attend appropriate clinic meetings as eCW expert.
  • Coordinate training to new clinic staff and providers and support upgrade training.
  • Provide competency/efficiency training for existing users.
  • Attend and participate in sessions for interest-raising, problem-solving, or training topics.
  • Assist in providing expertise or resources (i.e. handouts) to support sessions.
  • Ensure any changes to EMR are communicated to end users in a timely and understandable manner.
  • Assist with administrative functions.
  • Coordinate special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products as required.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Ability to perform general mathematical calculations for the purpose of creating business cases, budgets, and so on.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
