Responsibilities

The Physician Assistant is a licensed professional provider who works under the supervision and direction of collaborating physicians or the Medical Director for the Hospitalist program. They provide direct, comprehensive, preventative, and therapeutic healthcare to patients and families, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prescription, counseling, and instruction in compliance with Provider Protocols and all regulations governing APPs.

The PA may provide healthcare for which the APN is educationally prepared and for which competence has been attained and maintained. They are responsible for all aspects of coordination of the Hospitalist program, including fiscal accountability, time, and resources. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Current PA licensure in Arkansas

Documentation compliant with the Medical Board of satisfactory completion of a PA educational program and completion of preceptorship

Acute Care certification

Eligibility for a Medicare provider number and DEA registration

Experience in provider patient care

Pay Range
$64.23/hour
