School Health Care Professional Job Description

**Job Summary:**
The Lubbock Independent School District is seeking a highly qualified and experienced School Health Care Professional to join our student health services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and managing student health needs, providing direct instruction on health-related topics, and collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement health plans that promote student success.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Conduct health assessments and develop individualized care plans for students.
  • Provide direct instruction on health-related topics, such as wellness, disease prevention, and human sexuality.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement health plans that promote student success.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student health records.

Requirements:

* Education: Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred)
* Experience: Minimum three years of experience in community health, hospital, or school setting
* Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse License to practice in Texas from the State Board of Nurse Examiners
* Certification: Current CPR/AED certification and Texas Driver's License required

**Estimated Salary:** $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
