We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our Student Health Services team at Lubbock Independent School District. As an LVN, you will play a critical role in providing quality healthcare services to students and staff.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct basic care, minor first aid, and minor emergency care for ill and injured students and staff. They will also administer medication according to district policy and protocols, maintain accurate records of medication dispensed, and perform various delegated procedures under the guidance of the Licensed Registered School Nurse.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct basic care, minor first aid, and minor emergency care for ill and injured students and staff.">
  • Administer medication according to district policy and protocols.">
  • Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed.">
  • Perform various delegated procedures under the guidance of the Licensed Registered School Nurse.">
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student health concerns.">
  • Maintain confidentiality of all health information and records.">
  • Participate in health education programs to promote healthy behaviors among students and staff.">
  • Collaborate with campus administrators to ensure compliance with ARD committee decisions related to health services.">
  • Report potential health and safety hazards to the Licensed Registered School Nurse.">
  • Requisition supplies and equipment needed to maintain clinic inventory.">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • A valid Texas Vocational Nurse License issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.">
  • A minimum of three years of nursing experience in community health, hospital environment, physician's office, or school health.">
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR/AED) Certification.">
  • A valid Texas Driver's License with a driving record that meets the requirements of the district.">
  • Pediatric/adolescent experience is preferred.">
  • Certification by the Texas Department of State Health Services to administer Hearing, Vision, and Spinal Screenings.">

Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000, depending on experience.
