Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Science/Engineering Aide to join our team. As a key member of our research and development team, you will assist full-time Scientists/Engineers with various programming tasks, provide integration and test support, and apply your knowledge to solve routine problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate, revise, update, compile, debug, and write business, scientific, or software computer programs.
  • Develop flow charts and diagrams outlining process steps in operation.
  • Prepare documentation of program development, modifications to code, and operating instructions.
  • Conduct program tests and analyze system capabilities to resolve input/output problems.
  • Research, design, develop, and verify signal and image collection systems.
  • Define and develop processing and dissemination computer algorithms.
  • Develop requirements analysis, system architecture, and integrate new signal and image capture and processing technology systems.
  • Design, develop, and analyze systems for the extraction of information from sensors.
  • Implement signal and image processing with advanced computer architectures.
  • Design, develop, and implement methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze diverse data sets.
  • Develop software programs, algorithms, dashboards, information tools, and queries to clean, model, integrate, and evaluate datasets.
Requirements
  • Enrolled in a bachelor's or higher in physical sciences, computer science, data science, or mathematics.
  • Experience with scientific programming in Python, C, C++, or similar languages.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate on small teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
