We are in search of an experienced Lead ETL Administrator specializing in Ab Initio to join our innovative IT team. This role is pivotal in overseeing the administration of the ETL tool (Ab Initio) within a cloud environment. The selected candidate will engage in hands-on tasks while also providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Although this position does not have direct reports, it may involve leading a team of cross-functional resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Expertise in managing and engineering relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, RDS, DB2), as well as Big Data systems (e.g., Cloudera Data Platform) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
  • Prior experience with AWS Cloud services is essential.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in administering the ETL tool (Ab Initio).
  • Proficient in using the Ab Initio Graphical Development Environment (GDE), Metadata Hub, and Operational Console.
  • Skilled in creating Big Data pipelines (ETL) from on-premises to Data Factories, Data Lakes, and Cloud Storage solutions.
  • Strong command of UNIX, Linux, Shell scripting, and SQL.
  • Experience in troubleshooting issues related to Hive, ICFF, and HDFS.
  • Ability to manage the Metadata Hub (MDH) and resolve environmental issues affecting these components.
  • Proficient in scripting and automation, including designing and developing automated ETL processes and conducting unit testing of ETL code.
  • Capable of diagnosing potential issues with Kerberos, TLS/SSL, and other workload challenges.
  • Extensive knowledge of Cloudera (Hadoop, HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark) administration.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, etc.).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and Shell.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated expertise in DB2.
  • Act as a representative in architectural and design discussions, providing valuable insights as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
