We are seeking a qualified Substitute Nurse to join our team at Walton County School District. As a Substitute Nurse, you will be responsible for providing medical care and support to students in our schools.
Key Responsibilities- Reporting and Communication: Report to the school administration in a timely manner, providing updates on student health and well-being.
- Medical Care: Provide first aid, administer medication, and perform specialized medical treatments as needed to ensure the health and safety of students.
- Professional Conduct: Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to school and system policies at all times.
- Task Completion: Perform all assigned tasks and duties with efficiency and effectiveness.
- Location Reporting: Report to the designated location in a timely manner, ready to provide medical support as needed.
- Licensure: RN or LPN licensure is required for this position.

The Substitute Nurse position requires significant physical demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling, and significant fine finger dexterity. The job may also require exposure to outside weather conditions.
Education and Training- Certification: Current First Aid and CPR certification is required for this position.
- Criminal Background Check: A criminal background check is required for this position.
The FLSA status for this position is Exempt or Non-Exempt, depending on the type of substitute position.
