Compensation and Benefits

A base salary of $32 per hour is offered for this role. Total compensation may also include benefits and bonus.

Cyber and Forensic Technology Consultant Role

This 8-10 week internship program provides hands-on experience in delivering live client projects within the practice area. As a Cyber and Forensic Technology Consultant, you will work alongside senior colleagues to:

  • Assist with security and privacy investigations related to data breaches;
  • Conduct forensic analysis of digital information using computer forensic techniques and tools;
  • Apply investigative techniques, scientific reasoning, and digital forensic methods to answer questions;
  • Identify, research, and organize information to determine hacker activities, stolen data, or relevant evidence;
  • Collect digital evidence defensibly and maintain chain-of-custody documentation;
  • Leverage programming, model building, and database administration skills;
  • Share investigative findings and assist with drafting written reports summarizing procedures and conclusions;
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in digital forensics, e-discovery, and incident response.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful, candidates must have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (non-MBA) graduating December 2025/Summer 2026 with a focus on Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Digital Forensics, Management Information Systems, or related fields;
  • Familiarity with core skills, including understanding of operating systems, software, and hardware;
  • Ability to conduct detailed forensic investigations and analyses of computers, networks, mobile devices, and removable media;
  • Experience with conducting digital forensic analyses using commercial and open-source tools, including file system forensics, memory analysis, and network analysis;
  • Understanding of proper evidence handling procedures and chain-of-custody;
  • Effective written and oral communication skills;
  • Demonstrated initiative and leadership abilities;
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities;
  • Excellent time management and task prioritization skills;
  • Clear interest in consulting through coursework, work experience, activities, or attendance at CRA events.

Total estimated annual salary: $66,720 - $80,320
