Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse II to join our team at Kaiser Permanente in Ventura, California. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, adhering to established standards of care and policies.
  • Assist medical personnel with special procedures, minor surgical procedures, and diagnostic exams.
  • Assess and monitor patients' conditions, notifying physicians or healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Prepare and administer medications as directed by physician orders, following established protocols.
  • Perform various clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, conducting laboratory tests, and preparing patients for procedures.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Minimum one year of recent experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in an acute or outpatient setting.
  • Vocational Nurse License (California) and Basic Life Support certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
