About the Role

We are seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to join our team at Oatly AB in Millville, New Jersey. As an EHS Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as developing and implementing employee safety and environmental programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and Analyze Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations of injuries, illnesses, near-misses, and environmental accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and Implement EHS Programs: Assist in the development and implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and emergency preparedness plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide Industrial Hygiene Support: Conduct industrial hygiene assessments, sampling, and provide solutions to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Manage Hazardous Waste: Assist in the management of hazardous waste, including waste characterization, site inspections, and training.
  • Conduct Environmental System Compliance Audits: Perform audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including DPCC/SPCC inspections, air and water permit audits, and waste storage and accumulation area inspections.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of EHS experience, including experience in environmental and safety auditing, and industrial hygiene in food safety or beverage.
  • Skills: Strong data management, evaluation, and analytical skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.
