Bilingual Special Education Instructor Required
We are seeking a dedicated Bilingual Special Education Instructor to support students with severe behavioral and learning challenges. Candidates must have successfully completed the CBEST, CSET, and RICA examinations. A Bachelor’s degree is required, along with either a special education teaching credential or enrollment in a California-certified program that qualifies for a provisional internship credential. Bilingual proficiency is essential.
Position Details:
This is a full-time role, operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with early dismissal on Wednesdays at 2:45 PM.
Compensation: $70,000 - $79,000 annually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement lesson plans tailored to meet the IEP goals of students.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to paraprofessional staff to ensure effective educational delivery.
- Fulfill all IEP obligations for the assigned student caseload.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance educational services and ensure smooth interdisciplinary operations.
- Maintain communication with parents and caregivers regarding educational progress and concerns.
- Develop innovative strategies to engage students facing significant learning challenges.
- Organize educational plans for students with diverse academic and cognitive abilities.
Qualifications:
- Completion of CBEST, CSET, and RICA exams.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- Possession of a Special Education Teaching Credential or enrollment in a qualifying program.
- A minimum of one year of experience working with students exhibiting severe behavioral and learning difficulties or as an intern teacher.
- Knowledge of physical assault response protocols.
- Understanding of educational standards and a repertoire of effective teaching strategies.
- Familiarity with learning disabilities and their behavioral impacts, with the ability to educate others on these matters.
