Engineers within this team develop platforms, data pipelines, and financial products, addressing needs like financial analytics, planning & forecasting, and business intelligence.
Role OverviewWe are in search of a technical advisor who can oversee engineering initiatives across the Finance domain.
This position will collaborate closely with the Head of Finance Systems to identify technical action items, manage urgent technical follow-ups, and engage with Stripe leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a Senior Staff or Principal Engineer with over 10 years of software engineering experience.
- Possess a deep understanding of Stripe products and their relation to financial data.
- Have familiarity with scalable data systems such as Spark, Flink, Trino, and Kafka.
- Exhibit hands-on technical skills, demonstrating a willingness to engage with technical details.
- Drive technical design across multiple engineering teams to achieve business outcomes.
- Communicate effectively and proactively address emergent risks or key trade-offs.
We seek individuals who meet the essential qualifications for this role.
Preferred qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory:
- 10+ years of professional software development experience, including technical leadership across teams or product areas.
- Experience in leading complex discussions with senior leadership throughout the organization.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing solutions for large-scale data challenges.
- Attention to high-quality code and best practices.
- Willingness to commute to the office as required.
The annual base salary range for this position is between $232,000 and $348,000.
This range may encompass various career levels at Stripe and will be refined during the interview process based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and location.
Additional benefits may include equity, company bonuses, a 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as wellness stipends.
