About the Role

Bridgestone Americas is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Lead Technician to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex automotive issues, while also mentoring and leading a team of technicians to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Repair: Utilize your technical expertise to diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive systems, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
  • Leadership and Mentoring: Lead and mentor a team of technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional customer service and meet performance standards.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology through continuous paid formal training and education.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of automotive repair experience, completion of a vocational-technical school program in a related field, or demonstrated skills via third-party certificates/assessments.
  • Certifications: A.S.E. certification in at least 5 (five) of A1-A8 (L1 can be one of the five) is required. New hires with external similar qualifications/certifications will have up to 2 years of employment to comply.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
  • Education: Reading, writing, and math skills.
