Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Utility Locate Trainer to join our team at Primoris Gas Operations. As a Utility Locate Trainer, you will be responsible for training utility locators to locate various types of underground utilities properly. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to develop and implement effective training programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide new hire and ongoing locator field/classroom training on Xcel Energy Gas/Electric Utilities.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct hands-on training sessions and evaluate trainees' performance.
  • Provide virtual reality training on the UTTO simulator.
  • Assist with closing out locate tickets as needed.
  • Represent the company in a courteous and professional manner with respect to conduct and appearance with contractors, vendors, and customers.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED is highly preferred.
  • 5 years of utility locator experience or in a related field.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Time management skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Ability to develop training programs.
  • Ability to evaluate trainees' performance and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Ability to read and interpret utility maps and utility records.
  • Ability to read and interpret locate ticket requests.
