The Position Proposition

As a Gas Operations Field Professional, you will be responsible for performing safe and accurate locates of various types of underground utilities. You will also assist other company personnel in matters related to company equipment and productivity.

  • Perform safe and accurate locates of underground utilities
  • Maintain high standards in quality and quantity of locating work
  • Prevent damage to customer facilities by all reasonable means
  • Efficiently manage and coordinate assigned work volumes
  • Represent the company in a courteous and professional manner
  • Demonstrate respect towards fellow employees
  • Identify and inform supervisor/foreman of unique construction projects that present an elevated danger to customer facilities
  • Notify supervisor/foreman of inaccuracies or omissions in customer maps and records
  • Provide work support to other divisions of the company when needed
  • Learn new job skills and tasks as deemed appropriate
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of line locating experience
  • Valid driver's license for the state in which primary work functions are performed
  • Knowledge/experience in subsurface utility (SUE) is a plus
  • Solid communication skills and reasoning ability
  • Ability to read and interpret utility maps and records
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds on a continuous basis
  • Ability to work in outside weather conditions

Primoris Gas Operations is a drug-free environment. All positions require participation in federally compliant PHMSA or FMSCA drug and alcohol testing programs.
