We are offering a challenging opportunity to work with our team of Speech-Language Pathologists at Montefiore Medical Center.

To qualify, the candidate must have a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Certification by the American Speech and Hearing Association (CCC-SLP), a current New York State license and registration in Speech Language Pathology.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Ability to evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
  • Experience working with high-acuity conditions, including critically ill patients in intensive care units and acute care floors.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills to convey recommendations and provide education to the interdisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in conducting Modified Barium Swallow studies and performing, interpreting, and applying results from Fiberoptic Evaluation of Swallow Studies (FEES).
  • Knowledge of cranio-facial abnormalities, congenital heart defects, gastrointestinal disorders, tracheostomized patients, and head and neck cancer.
  • Experience evaluating and treating patients in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility.
  • Additional potential clinical and research opportunities available.
  • Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, with a schedule of either Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday.
