Canine and Feline Grooming Specialist

Position Overview:
The Grooming Specialist is a commission-based role within PetSuites, reporting directly to the General Manager. This position requires a strong customer service orientation and a genuine passion for assisting pet owners. Importantly, candidates should possess experience in grooming or bathing a variety of dog and cat breeds.

Daily Responsibilities:
This role is vital for the well-being of pets and their owners. You will enhance their pets' appearance and health by providing top-notch grooming services. Daily tasks include managing appointments for both scheduled and walk-in clients, performing full grooms, simple baths, and occasional emergency clean-ups. You will engage with both pets and their owners, documenting observations that may lead to health insights. Expect to maintain cleanliness in your workspace, handle various grooming tasks, and interact positively with clients.

Key Duties:

• Deliver a positive grooming experience for pets, ensuring compassion, safety, and comfort.
• Complete grooming and bathing services as per client specifications, adhering to time schedules.
• Coordinate with Resort Hosts for appointment scheduling and client onboarding.
• Engage with clients to discuss grooming needs and provide feedback post-service.
• Respond promptly to client communications and resolve service-related issues.
• Maintain grooming tools and workspace cleanliness, following health and safety standards.
• Monitor pet health during grooming sessions and report any concerns to management.
• Ensure all pets have access to water and bathroom breaks during longer appointments.
• Follow safety protocols when handling pets, especially those with behavioral challenges.
• Adhere to pricing guidelines and obtain necessary approvals for additional services.

Qualifications:
Education: Professional Grooming Certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
Experience:

• Two to four years of professional grooming experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of breed standards and grooming techniques.
