Job Summary

As a Family Visitation Specialist at Boys Town, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of youth during transportation and visitation with their biological families. This position requires a high level of professionalism, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport youth and supervise visitation to ensure their safety and the safety of their family members.
  • Develop and maintain a working relationship with youth and family members to build trust and facilitate positive interactions.
  • Assess behaviors and guide or redirect as needed to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of each supervised visit and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Respond to short-notice situations and adapt to changing circumstances to ensure the needs of youth and families are met.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in youth care or human services required.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record required.
  • Ability to provide own transportation and meet auto insurance requirements established by Boys Town policy and/or State and Local laws.
  • Pass an annual Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) check.
  • On-call (continuously or rotationally) to provide support as needed.
