Job Description

Overview:

eTeam is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Application Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our internal financial reporting database applications for life insurance.

The Database Application Analyst position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in database application development or database administration. Proficiency in Oracle (11g/19c) is essential, including knowledge of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, and SQL*Loader. Linux OS and TOAD skills are also required.

The ideal candidate will have advanced Excel skills, including VLookup and macros. Knowledge of scheduling tools (ESP/Stonebranch UAC) and MS-Access is preferred. Business knowledge of life products and excellent communication skills are also essential.

The Database Application Analyst will work on multiple projects with a sense of urgency and ability to change focus to complete critical systems. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills are required, with a problem-solution attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance internal financial reporting database applications for life insurance
  • Implement and enhance new and existing products
  • Automate reporting requirements
  • Ensure successful monthly load of the data warehouse
  • Creation of control processes
  • Produce reports, including automated reports and ad hoc analyses

Requirements:

  • 4-year college degree with a minimum of 2 years in a database application development or database administrator role
  • Proficiency in Oracle (11g/19c)
  • Linux OS and TOAD skills
