Veterinary Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Nurse Assistant to join our team at the ASPCA Animal Hospital. As a member of our medical staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to animals in need.
Responsibilities- Nursing Care and Client Services: Provide excellent patient care, utilizing Fear Free guidelines and demonstrating knowledge of veterinary medical concepts.
- Professionalism, Communication, and Performance: Represent the ASPCA with professionalism and courtesy, collaborating effectively with colleagues and management.
- Housekeeping and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to protocols and procedures set forth by OSHA and the ASPCA.
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Basic to advanced computer skills, including Excel and Microsoft Office
- Completion of the Fear Free 8 module course or willingness to complete within 60 days
- Knowledge of shelter medicine and operations, veterinary hospital protocols, and procedures
- Possess excellent customer service skills, inter-personal communication, and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in Impromed preferred
The estimated annual salary for this position is $43,200 - $46,880. The ASPCA offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
