Role Overview

A Bartender plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer experiences by preparing and serving a diverse range of beverages, processing food orders, and ensuring timely meal delivery to patrons. This position demands a comprehensive knowledge of drink recipes, food offerings, and the ability to foster a welcoming environment for guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, garnish, and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
  • Accurately take food and drink orders from customers, ensuring to note any special requests or dietary needs.
  • Deliver food orders to customers promptly, ensuring accuracy and adherence to presentation standards.
  • Provide exemplary service by interacting with customers in a friendly and professional manner, offering recommendations, and addressing any inquiries.
  • Oversee and manage bar inventory, restocking supplies as needed, and notifying management of low stock levels.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar and dining area, including washing glassware, cleaning tables, and sanitizing equipment.
  • Process payments accurately, handle cash transactions, and operate the point of sale (POS) system efficiently.
  • Comply with all local and state regulations regarding alcohol service, including verifying customer age.
  • Collaborate closely with other staff members, including kitchen personnel and fellow servers, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Assist in the setup and service during special events or peak periods, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as a bartender or server in a restaurant or bar environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of a wide array of drink recipes and the ability to mix beverages accurately and efficiently. Familiarity with food menu items and pairing suggestions.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with patrons. Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items (such as kegs and trays), and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Possession of a 'Beer Savvy' Beer Server Certification is preferred.
  • Ability to work in close quarters and maintain pace during high-volume shifts.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends.
