Key Responsibilities:- Initiate services and repairs by describing performance problems and service requests
- Review customer accounts and report changes to internal staff
- Verify warranty coverage, write repair orders, and maintain customer accounts
- Serve as a liaison between customers and technicians, ensuring that technicians understand customer needs and requested/recommended services are understood by customers
- Inspect units with customers, verify unit information, obtain photos, and communicate additional repair and service needs to customers based on inspections
- Schedule appointments, input repair orders (ROs), monitor service progress, calculate charges, and process payments
- Keep customers informed of service specials, completion times, and service expenses
- A team player with a focus on providing exemplary customer service
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-moving environment
- Good understanding of mechanical/technical knowledge
- Great organizational skills
- Acceptable driving record
- Driver's license (required)
- 1-2+ years of previous Service Writer experience
- High School diploma or GED required
