Job Description

As a Member Services Representative at Flathead Electric Cooperative, you will serve as the initial contact for members, providing friendly, helpful, and professional services at all times. Your primary responsibilities will include serving as the initial contact for members via phone, walk-in, or drive-thru, initiating service to new members, answering a variety of member questions, handling member account transactions, maintaining files on prospective and active members, collecting deposits and payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist members with a variety of questions and needs, including initiating and processing service orders, resolving member billing questions, and collecting advance payments.
  2. Provide excellent customer service, responding to member inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  3. Process payments, balance cash drawers, and prepare bank deposits, ensuring accuracy and security.
  4. Maintain accurate records, update member information, and ensure compliance with Cooperative policies and procedures.
  5. Work collaboratively with other departments to resolve member issues and provide a positive experience.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-4 years of experience in a public contact position, preferably with money handling responsibilities.
  • Valid Montana Driver's License and be insurable to drive FEC vehicles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with members, vendors, and employees.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive information, and exercise good judgment.
  • Basic math skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
