Role Overview:

As an Experienced Server, you will be responsible for setting up tables prior to service and acting as the primary point of contact for guests throughout their dining experience. Your main goal will be to ensure that every guest departs with a memorable and positive experience. This position is ideal for those seeking additional income alongside their primary job, with work taking place in our elegantly lit indoor dining area and the impressive lobby of the Morsani Theater.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide thoughtful recommendations on menu selections.
  • Efficiently deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to guests.
  • Monitor guests' dining experiences to guarantee satisfaction with both food and service.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas.
  • Prepare final bills and process payments accurately.
  • Assist in clearing and resetting tables as needed.
  • Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the designated uniform and nametag.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be fully vaccinated by the start date, with a booster when eligible, unless an exemption has been approved.
  • Availability to work on-site is required.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Strong customer service skills are essential.
  • Basic understanding of dining room operations and service protocols.
  • Ability to handle cash and operate a point of sale system.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods (minimum of 5 hours).
  • Capable of lifting and maneuvering trays of food weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience as a server or in a comparable restaurant role is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

While fulfilling the responsibilities of this role, the employee is regularly required to lift a minimum of 40 lbs, stand for extended periods, reach with hands and arms, and communicate effectively. Occasional use of hands for handling or feeling is also required.
