Job Purpose and Reporting Structure

As a Public Safety Officer 2nd Shift, you will be responsible for protecting employees, patients, visitors, medical staff, physical plant, and equipment, while controlling traffic inside and outside buildings and performing related public safety duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Enforce all policies to ensure continued safety and security of the Clinics, effectively consulting with all departments on design and use of safety equipment and security measures.
  • Address the security needs of the clinics, identifying potential safety concerns and recommending corrective or preventative measures, and writing reports of daily activities and irregularities.
  • Support an environment conducive to working relationships, facilitating the department/clinic ability to meet its goals and objectives, and responding to the needs of the department by accepting additional assignments and/or assisting others.
  • Effectively use work time to accomplish assignments within expected time frames, adapting to change in a manner that promotes and supports departmental/clinic goals and objectives.
  • Knowledgeable of and follow safety/infection control policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for self and others, addressing potential safety concerns related to equipment and the working environment.
Education and/or Experience

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required, along with one to three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
