Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate the efforts of subcontractors and construction teams.
  • Create and manage project timelines, financial plans, and resource distribution strategies.
  • Conduct construction cost estimating and validate that all proposals are precise and competitive.
  • Employ advanced bidding software, such as HeavyBid, to produce comprehensive and accurate cost estimates.
  • Oversee the utilization of specialized machinery and tools, ensuring compliance with operational standards.
  • Guarantee that all construction activities align with applicable building codes and regulations.
  • Track and report on project advancements, identifying possible setbacks and implementing necessary corrective measures.
  • Utilize construction management tools, including ProCore and Bluebeam, for effective project data management.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to fulfill all project specifications.
  • Manage the procurement and timely delivery of materials, ensuring accuracy in quantities received.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of project activities, including schedules, budgets, and communications with subcontractors.
  • Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure all work meets established standards.
  • Oversee the compilation of project completion documents, including punch lists and warranties.
  • Provide consistent updates to project managers and stakeholders regarding project status and any emerging issues.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience as a Superintendent within the Public Works construction sector is essential.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction methodologies, including estimating, scheduling, and quality assurance.

All scheduling will be conducted using Primavera P6.
- Familiarity with construction management software such as ProCore and Bluebeam is required.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations is necessary.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities are essential.
- Capacity to thrive in a dynamic construction setting.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory; a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is preferred.
