Position Overview:

This role presents a distinctive opportunity to lead and manage the execution of NEPA and Permitting initiatives for demanding Design-Bid-Build projects, as well as the dynamic timelines associated with Design-Build delivery.

The position offers an environmental professional a unique chance to oversee substantial contracts, engage with clients, and fulfill both internal and external project management responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities:
Direct and manage multi-firm, multi-task, interdisciplinary team task orders and contracts for infrastructure initiatives.

Guide and support the creation of NEPA and Permitting documentation for projects being executed under a Design-Build Procurement Process.

Develop project scopes and budgets, maintain client relationships, and formulate project plans and timelines.
Lead and assist in the development of Pre-Let and Post Award Contracting.
Ensure adherence to Arcadis' practices, including quality and safety standards.

Interpersonal and client-facing duties will require excellent, clear, and concise oral and written communication skills, along with a proven ability to coordinate meetings, resources, and presentations.


Qualifications & Experience:
Essential Qualifications:

10+ years of experience leading Departments of Transportation projects.
Experience supervising elements of complex projects.
Bachelor's degree in planning, policy, a biological or physical science, or economics.

Key Attributes:
Demonstrated success in delivering moderate to complex environmental projects.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
Proficiency in MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and relevant project planning or specialized discipline utilized in NEPA analysis.

Familiarity with ProjectWise, Primavera, Prezi, MS Access, and other software tools that enhance project management and planning contract processes.

Related experience with other departments of transportation.
