Job Summary:

Universal Health Services is seeking a skilled Psychiatric Technician to join our team at Intermountain Hospital. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the healing and health of our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning and implementing services for assigned programs, including defining and implementing treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
  • Provide continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse and Program Manager.
  • Develop and maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, adhering to safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting healthy coping mechanisms and self-care strategies.

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • CPI/seclusion/restraint training/certification.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric care techniques, de-escalation and assaultive behavior management techniques, CPR, and code procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and human relations skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and co-workers.
  • Ability to work as a team player, demonstrating tact, resourcefulness, patience, and dedication.
