As a Lead Assurance Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in guiding audit engagements across various sectors, including manufacturing, energy, healthcare, and financial services, with minimal oversight. Your expertise will be crucial in upholding the firm's core values and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough research and analysis of financial statement matters using advanced electronic tools and software.
- Enhance the assurance workflow by identifying and articulating challenges and opportunities, while proposing effective solutions for client concerns.
- Develop a deep understanding of client operations to evaluate internal controls and deliver valuable business process improvements.
- Communicate project outcomes and client information effectively, ensuring timely updates are shared with all stakeholders.
- Foster and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients to support ongoing engagement.
- Oversee and mentor junior staff and interns on various audit tasks, ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Stay proficient in relevant software applications to optimize efficiency in your work.
- Understand the financial aspects of job performance by managing budgets and billing effectively.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training initiatives.
- Engage in client development and marketing activities as required.
- Contribute to recruitment efforts by participating in staff hiring events.
- Maintain a target of 1,600 chargeable hours within a standard annual framework.
- Adhere to the firm’s quality control protocols and uphold high standards of independence and integrity.
- Travel may be required as part of your duties.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited institution.
- Compliance with the 150-hour rule and/or possession of a CPA license.
- Two to four years of recent experience in public accounting.
- Familiarity with generally accepted auditing standards and accounting principles.
- Experience with paperless auditing software is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and research skills are essential.
- A commitment to delivering exceptional client service with integrity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Experience with specific auditing methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage budgets effectively.
In the course of performing job duties, the employee may frequently be required to sit, stand, reach, walk, drive, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift or move items weighing up to 25 lbs.
