Job Overview:

Position Summary:
The CT Imaging Technologist plays a vital role in healthcare by aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

This position involves performing CT imaging procedures and related techniques, generating images for interpretation by licensed medical practitioners.

The technologist operates a CT scanner to capture images essential for diagnosing and treating various medical conditions.

Utilizing expertise in imaging techniques and anatomical knowledge, the technologist ensures the production of high-quality images for review by radiologists and other healthcare professionals.

Adjustments to technical settings and scanning parameters are made to optimize image quality while minimizing unnecessary radiation exposure.

Routine quality checks and maintenance of the CT scanner are conducted in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and organizational policies.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology program recognized by the Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) or equivalent.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required within 60 days of employment.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in radiology as a registered technologist.
  • Eligibility for RRT CT registry.
Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in trauma Radiology following graduation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts CT examinations and procedures as requested by medical personnel.
  • Assists radiologists and other healthcare staff during imaging procedures.
  • Performs necessary administrative tasks to ensure proper distribution, billing, and archiving of imaging studies.
  • Completes all required documentation for accurate interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of imaging studies.
  • Retrieves written orders and relevant health information to facilitate timely imaging and reporting.
  • Engages in the implementation, monitoring, and enhancement of quality indicators as outlined in the strategic plan.
