POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking skilled field investigators with expertise in Non-Standard Auto Claims, Special Investigations Unit (SIU), or a solid background in Loss Prevention. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to navigate diverse situations and demonstrate the confidence required to gather and uncover critical information in various settings. This role is part-time and is essential for expanding our service coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations of insurance claims, including obtaining recorded statements from claimants and witnesses, as well as performing on-site investigations.
- Manage multiple complex claims investigations effectively.
- Analyze assignments and relevant documentation to establish case objectives and meet client expectations.
- Provide daily updates on the progress of each case.
- Maintain a sufficient level of billable hours for clients.
- Prepare and dictate comprehensive investigation reports.
- Adhere to strict deadlines for case submissions.
- Attend hearings and provide testimony as required.
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated individual with a strong sense of accountability for performance outcomes.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all tasks.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills.
- Strong active listening abilities.
- Effective time management skills, capable of meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and manage a home-based office.
- Proficient in computer use.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
- Minimum auto insurance coverage of $100,000 per person, $300,000 per accident for bodily injury, and $50,000 for property damage, including business use coverage.
- Good driving record.
- Access to a smartphone and a computer or laptop with a stable internet connection.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of four years of experience in claims investigations, particularly in Life Insurance, Disability claims, Workers Compensation, and general liability claims.
- Experience in AOE/COE investigations.
- Field investigation experience, including face-to-face interviews.
- Knowledge of insurance law is advantageous.
- Bi-lingual candidates in Spanish and English are preferred.
