Job Summary:

The ASM Global team is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Floor Maintenance Technician to join our facilities maintenance team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities, including offices, classrooms, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, stages, hallways, and other public areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting of hard surface and carpeted areas.
  • Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, scrubbing machines, and polishing machines.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks on equipment prior to use.
  • Work effectively as a team player to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Verifiable work experience as a Floor Technician or in a related field.
  • Ability to understand and speak English and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently required to stand, reach, and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
  • Ability to walk safely and climb stairs.
  • Ability to read and write printed words and numbers.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
