Job Title: Heavy Truck Driver

Job Summary:

Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) is seeking a skilled Heavy Truck Driver to join our team. As a Heavy Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating a combination of equipment, including street sweepers, tractors with trailer, and dump trucks. You will also assist Heavy Equipment Operators and other departments with hauling materials, loading general construction equipment, and performing snow removal duties during the snow season.

Responsibilities:

  • Loading of general construction equipment, including skid steer, excavators, back hoes, and vertical lifts, as required after training.
  • Assisting Heavy Equipment Operators and other departments with hauling materials.
  • Performing snow removal duties during the snow season, with a flexible schedule to accommodate a 410 schedule as needed.
  • Operating a semi-truck, with a valid CDL Class A driver's license and a minimum of one-year successful experience safely driving straight-bodied trucks and/or tractor-trailer combinations without an accident.
  • Maintaining a valid state driver's license to operate a company vehicle and having a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five (5) years related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training.
  • Valid state CDL Class A driver's license with a minimum of one-year successful experience safely driving straight-bodied trucks and/or tractor-trailer combinations without an accident.
  • Tanker Endorsement or willingness to obtain within 6 months of employment.
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds and physically capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact well with others in a team setting.
