About the Transportation Maintenance Technician Role
As a Transportation Maintenance Technician at First Student, you will play an integral role in ensuring the safety of the children who count on us for a ride to and from school in those classic yellow buses. Your day will include performing maintenance on brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, & transmissions, completing work orders, and assisting with mobile emergency services.
Requirements for the Transportation Maintenance Technician Role
- 3+ years of experience working with automotive, diesel, electric, or CNG vehicles
- Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain a CDL
- Mechanic's tool set
- ASE testing and certification
