Sales and Marketing Executive

Position Overview:
The Director of Sales and Marketing plays a crucial role within the management team, focusing on optimizing revenue from catering and events. This position is tasked with developing and executing strategic promotional and sales initiatives for the club's facilities, catering to a variety of events such as weddings, banquets, corporate meetings, social gatherings, and golf outings.
Compensation:
$90,000 - $100,000 per year
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of robust sales experience in catering, ideally within a club environment, with a strong history of successfully selling weddings and banquets.
- Exceptional skills in sales prospecting, communication, and closing deals.
- Maintain a professional appearance and exhibit a mature demeanor.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in CRM and sales automation tools.
- Competent in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with the local market is advantageous.
- A four-year degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- Meet and exceed sales and profit targets for the club's catering and events operations.
- Assist in the creation of catering sales budgets and marketing strategies.
- Design and implement programs to attract and retain events at the club, including telephone sales campaigns, direct marketing efforts, networking opportunities, and open house events.
- Utilize CRM systems to maintain an events prospect database, track communications, and document sales activities.
- Engage with prospective clients, conduct facility tours, and facilitate event sales.
- Oversee the preparation of contracts for all events.
- Assist clients in planning special events, including menu selection, entertainment, themes, and decorations.
- Provide recommendations for event enhancements, such as floral arrangements and table settings.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to establish pricing and menu options for catered events.
- Coordinate all banquet event functions, prepare proposals, and manage contracts and deposits.
- Communicate event details to relevant support staff to ensure seamless execution.
- Inspect arrangements and collaborate with department heads to guarantee high-quality service during events.
- Supervise the logistics of catered events, including ordering supplies, staffing, and scheduling.
- Develop and maintain service standards to ensure consistent quality in catering operations.
- Regularly assess services and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in significant events to build relationships that foster referrals and business opportunities.
- Engage in community activities as deemed appropriate by management to enhance the club's visibility.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and regional team to create effective sales materials.
- Participate in monthly sales meetings and annual gatherings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager.
