Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Train Staff: Supervise, train, and inspect the performance of assigned housekeeping staff, ensuring that all procedures are completed to the hotel's standards.
  • Assist with Guest Services: Assist where necessary to ensure optimum service to guests, responding promptly to their needs and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Inspect and Maintain Facilities: Inspect guest rooms, corridors, elevators, and other public areas to ensure that they are clean, tidy, and well-maintained.
  • Coordinate Breaks and Assignments: Coordinate breaks for assigned staff and prepare and distribute assignments to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Communicate with Staff and Management: Communicate clearly with staff and management to ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest standards and that any issues are addressed promptly.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience as a supervisor in a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and equipment maintenance, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent experience.
  • Language: Fluency in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to provide legible communication.
Physical Abilities
  • Exert Physical Effort: Exert physical effort in transporting 100 to 150 pounds to work areas.
  • Endure Physical Movements: Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, including standing, walking, bending, squatting, and reaching.
  • Ability to Work with Chemicals: Ability to work with chemicals, including cleaners and disinfectants, and with prolonged exposure to water.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with variable temperature conditions, noise levels, and exposure to chemicals and bio-hazards. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
