Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with finding products on the sales floor and provide excellent customer service
  • Receives, prepares, and fulfills customer orders and special requests
  • Support teammates and contribute to a positive department culture
  • Address customer concerns and resolve issues in a professional manner
  • Ensure high-quality standards by inspecting, rotating, and maintaining proper temperatures of meat products
  • Maintain proper inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping
  • Participate in food safety initiatives and lead by example in following proper procedures
  • Meet quality standards, including quantity expectations at 100% by 10 am and 5 pm
  • Regular, timely attendance and adequate notice for occasional absences

Requirements:

  • Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Good oral and written communication skills and ability to handle a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
  • Complete understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies
  • Ability to apply on-the-job safety training to recognize and react to possible safety hazards
  • Proper training and knowledge of equipment and procedures, including slicers, lifting techniques, trash compactor, and baler

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly
  • Full range of upper body motion
  • Lifting up to 80 pounds on an occasional basis
  • Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures
  • Repetitive motion of hands and wrists
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
