Merryhill School is seeking a skilled Music Teacher to join our team. As a Music Teacher, you will have the opportunity to lay a musical foundation for young students, fostering a lifelong appreciation for music.
You will collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and integrate the core knowledge curriculum within the music program, including music history. Your expertise will be essential in introducing young students to the piano and other musical instruments.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning, supervising, and implementing curriculum for Preschool classrooms
- Collaborating with other faculty and staff members
- Assisting teachers with the use of rhythm instruments
- Introducing young students to the piano, specifically
- Playing piano for classroom performances
We are looking for a candidate with a bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field, piano proficiency, and sight reading expertise. Prior teaching experience with young students is preferred. This is a part-time position.
To succeed in this role, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
What We Offer- Pay range: $45,000 - $50,000
