Job Title: Public Health Nutritionist Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public Health Nutritionist Supervisor to lead our team of nutrition professionals in providing high-quality services to our clients. As a Public Health Nutritionist Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and directing the work of our nutrition staff, developing and implementing nutrition programs, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and direct the work of nutrition staff, including appraisals, planning, and directing their work, approving leave, and taking disciplinary action as needed.
  • Develop and implement nutrition programs, including the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including the WIC Procedure Manual DHM 150-24, WIC Data System User Guide, and WIC Data System Manager Guide.
  • Provide nutrition education and counseling to clients, including individual and group sessions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent disease.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Nutrition, Public Health, or related field.
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a WIC program or related field.
  • Licensed Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and/or licensed as a Dietician/Nutritionist (LD/N) in the State of Florida.
  • Ability to effectively direct WIC office operations, supervise and direct employees, and lead, mentor, and develop staff.
  • Knowledge of the science and current practice of nutrition or dietetics.
