At Canonical, we are seeking a skilled High-Performance Microservices Software Engineer to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to the development of innovative software solutions.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented engineer with a strong background in software development, particularly in microservices architecture. As a High-Performance Microservices Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and efficient software systems that meet the needs of our customers.

Your primary focus will be on developing high-quality software that works at scale, including writing high-quality, well-designed, and robust code, designing APIs and software architecture for collegial review, writing tests that validate software behavior, and building and maintaining reliable, fault-tolerant applications and services.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

You should have a strong understanding of programming languages such as Python and Go, experience with relational and non-relational database systems, continuous integration and continuous delivery experience, and experience with systems programming or scalable web services.

In addition, you should have excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability, passion, thoughtfulness, and self-motivation, excellent communication and presentation skills, and result-oriented with a personal drive to meet commitments.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this role is $120,000-$180,000 per year, depending on location and experience. In addition to base pay, we offer a performance-driven annual bonus and provide all team members with additional benefits, which reflect our values and ideals.
